This enacted ordinance expands Philadelphia’s restrictions on commercial establishments on residential blockfaces to include take-out restaurants on corner lots when either adjoining street is a residential blockface. It also requires covered establishments to display a notice poster and changes violations from a $300 fine to a Class III offense, while continuing to prohibit them from being open to the public between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Amending Section 9-627 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Commercial Establishments on Residential Blockfaces," to extend the scope of the ordinance to include certain establishments located on corner lots, to require certain establishments to display a poster indicating that the establishment is subject to the terms of this ordinance and to increase the penalties for violations of the ordinance, all under certain terms and conditions.
