This enacted ordinance prohibits the Water Department, including contractors acting for it, from shutting off water and sewer service at residential properties for unpaid bills on Fridays, weekends, legal holidays, or the day before a legal holiday. It does not prohibit other collection efforts on those days and took effect immediately after enactment.

Amending Title 13 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Water and Sewer," by adding a new Chapter regarding termination of water and sewer service and prohibiting the termination of such service on certain days, all under certain terms and conditions.
