The adopted resolution proposes an amendment to the Philadelphia Home Rule Charter that would let the Administrative Board authorize more than two deputies exempt from civil service in most City departments, up to a total of ten. The amendment would be submitted to Philadelphia voters for approval; it would also limit the number of those exempt deputies who live outside the city to four.
