This enacted ordinance adds a 3.45% annual assessment on net operating revenue, excluding Medicare revenue, for certain nonprofit hospitals in Philadelphia that provide more than 90,000 days of care to Medicaid patients and are subsidiaries of state-related institutions. The assessment is payable quarterly, and the revenue is to be sent to the Commonwealth for medical assistance payments supporting emergency and other hospital services, subject to required state authorization and agreements.

Amending Chapter 19-3500 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "General Acute Care Hospital Assessment," by adding an assessment upon the Net Operating Revenue of certain specified hospitals located in the City of Philadelphia; all under certain terms and conditions.
