This enacted change to Philadelphia’s sidewalk-cafe rules allows sidewalk cafes on Ninth Street between Christian Street and Federal Street to occupy all or part of spaces where curb market carts may be located. These cafes do not have to be at the same elevation as the sidewalk, but they must follow the other sidewalk-cafe requirements.

Amending Section 9-208 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Sidewalk Cafes," by providing that sidewalk cafes on Ninth Street, between Christian Street and Federal Street, may occupy spaces in which curb market carts may be located, under certain terms and conditions.
