The enacted ordinance changes Philadelphia’s Health Code by revising food-establishment license categories and fees and exempting certain organizations and facilities from food licensing requirements. It removes the City’s licensing requirement for barber and beauty shops and the permit requirement for laser light shows, while keeping sanitation rules for hair-care businesses and allowing inspections of laser-show equipment.

Amending Title 6 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Health Code," to eliminate licensing requirements and revise fees with respect to certain food establishments; to eliminate licensing requirements for barber and beauty shops; to eliminate permitting requirements for laser light shows; all under certain terms and conditions.
