PASSED
The enacted ordinance requires owners of certain residential and commercial properties eligible for City curbside waste collection to pay an annual $150 fee, unless the property is a single-family home, condominium, cooperative, or has a private waste-hauling contract. It also makes providing false information about private waste service a violation subject to penalties and repeals the prior commercial-establishment waste-management section.
Amending Chapter 10-700 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Refuse and Littering," to require certain property owners either to pay a fee for City waste hauling or to demonstrate that the business or property owner has a private provider of waste and recycling disposal services; all under certain terms and conditions.
