Adopted by City Council, this resolution recognizes and honors the life and public service of Representative John Patrick Murtha, described as the first Vietnam combat veteran to serve in Congress and Pennsylvania’s longest-serving House member. It also provides an engrossed copy of the resolution to his wife, Joyce Murtha, as a formal expression of Council’s recognition.
