This enacted ordinance sets requirements for City Council approval of redevelopment proposals and contracts under Philadelphia’s Urban Redevelopment Law. It requires those contracts to ensure that Council must approve transfers to a new developer, certain changes to property terms or redevelopment plans, significant ownership changes before completion, and amendments that would avoid these approval requirements.

Amending Title 16 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Public Property," by setting forth certain requirements for Council's approval of redevelopment proposals and redevelopment contracts submitted to Council for approval under the provisions of the Urban Redevelopment Law.
