This enacted ordinance changes the zoning designations for certain properties within the area bounded by Hunting Park Avenue, Henry Avenue, Roberts Avenue, and Fox Street. It allows specified commercial uses in the area, including automobile fuel sales, prepackaged food sales, takeout restaurants, and full-service hotels, while limiting the number and size of some uses. It also prohibits outdoor advertising signs, casinos, and certain correctional or detention facilities; the added C-3 provisions expire 18 months after the ordinance takes effect.

To amend the Philadelphia Zoning Maps by changing the zoning designations of certain areas of land located within an area bounded by Hunting Park Avenue, Henry Avenue, Roberts Avenue, and Fox Street; and amending Sections 14-304 and 14-309 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled, respectively, "Area Shopping Center District" and "'C-3' Commercial," by providing for additional permitted uses; all under certain terms and conditions.
