RECONSIDERED

The enacted ordinance sets licensing and operating requirements for special assembly venues, such as nightclubs, bars, restaurants, private clubs, and banquet halls where 50 or more people gather for social entertainment. It requires promoters to register with the City and requires venues to provide advance information about promoted events, maintain written agreements with outside operators, follow safety and crowd-control rules, and comply with inspections and possible closure or license revocation for violations.

Amending Section 9-703 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Special Assembly Occupancies," by imposing various requirements on promoters of events at special assembly occupancies; all under certain terms and conditions.
