This enacted bill updated Philadelphia’s Fire Code by replacing the 2006 International Fire Code with the 2009 edition and adding Philadelphia-specific changes. The rules cover fire permits, alarms, sprinklers, emergency planning, hazardous materials, building inspections, and fire-safety requirements for property owners, businesses, residents, and other building occupants.

Amending Subcode "F" of Title 4 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "The Philadelphia Fire Code," by adopting the 2009 edition of the International Code Council Fire Code, with certain amendments thereto, all under certain terms and conditions.
