City Council adopted a resolution proposing an amendment to the Philadelphia Home Rule Charter concerning non-discrimination clauses in City contracts. The proposed amendment would require covered City contracts to state that contractors may not discriminate based on race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability, and would be submitted to Philadelphia voters on an election date set by ordinance.

Proposing an amendment to The Philadelphia Home Rule Charter to further provide for non-discrimination clauses in City contracts; and providing for the submission of the amendment to the electors of Philadelphia.
