This enacted ordinance changes Philadelphia’s deed-recording rules. It requires records checks and supporting documents in certain cases, requires additional steps when a buyer does not have title insurance, and requires notice to prior owners and occupants after a deed is recorded. It sets the deed-recording fee at $204, with half going to the General Fund and half to the Housing Trust Fund, and waives fees for corrective deeds supported by documentation of fraud.

Amending Chapter 2-200 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Recording of Deeds," by modifying the requirements for the recording of deeds, providing for certain fees and making certain technical changes, all under certain terms and conditions.
