The enacted ordinance increases the sidewalk path that property owners, agents, and tenants must clear of snow and ice from 30 inches to 36 inches within six hours after snowfall ends. If the sidewalk area is less than three feet wide, a 12-inch path may be cleared; for multifamily buildings, the owner or agent is responsible for compliance.

Amending Chapter 10-700 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Refuse and Littering," by increasing the path of snow to be cleared on sidewalks, all under certain terms and conditions.
