This enacted law expands the Philadelphia Board of Ethics’ authority to conduct hearings on alleged violations of the city’s ethics rules and three Home Rule Charter sections concerning city officers and employees, gratuities, and political activities. It requires notice and an opportunity to be heard before a final decision; for Charter violations, the Board may impose monetary penalties, and its decisions can be challenged only in court as allowed by law.

Amending Section 20-606 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Board of Ethics," by further providing for administrative adjudication, under certain terms and conditions.
