The enacted bill increases the amount of interest and penalties that the Philadelphia Revenue Commissioner may waive on unpaid money or claims owed to the City or School District of Philadelphia. A person may seek a waiver of up to $15,000 in interest and $35,000 in penalties if the commissioner finds they acted in good faith without negligence or intent to defraud, and they agree to pay the remaining balance without further appeal to the Tax Review Board.

Amending Section 19-1705 of The Philadelphia Code to increase the amount of interest and penalty on any unpaid money or claim collectible by the Department of Revenue that may be waived by the Revenue Commissioner, under certain terms and conditions.
