This enacted ordinance requires anyone who sees a live raccoon at large anywhere in Philadelphia to immediately report the raccoon and its location to the Animal Control Agency. It requires the agency to address reported raccoons under regulations that include immediate use of proven, effective, and lawful abatement procedures; the ordinance took effect immediately.
Amending Chapter 10-100 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Animals," to establish provisions for the reporting of wild raccoons, and to provide for the manner of their abatement, all under certain terms and conditions.
