The City amended its building code to change how construction costs are counted when calculating building permit fees for solar electric or photovoltaic systems. The cost of solar panels and inverters is excluded from that calculation, affecting permit applicants installing these systems.

Amending Subcode "A" (The Philadelphia Administrative Code) of Title 4 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "The Philadelphia Building Construction and Occupancy Code," by providing for the manner of payment of building permit fees when a solar electric or photovoltaic system is installed, under certain terms and conditions.
