This enacted law establishes Philadelphia licenses for fire suppression system contractors and electrical contractors. It requires applicants and license holders to meet qualifications, maintain insurance, follow permit and code requirements, and comply with rules that can lead to license suspension or revocation; it affects businesses and individuals performing this work in the city.

Adding Sections 9-1005, entitled "Fire Suppression System Contractors," and 9-1006, entitled "Electrical Contractors," to Chapter 9-1000 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Trades," to provide for licensing of fire suppression system contractors and electrical contractors; and making conforming amendments to Subcode "E" (The Philadelphia Electrical Code) of Title 4 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "The Philadelphia Building Construction and Occupancy Code;" all under certain terms and conditions.
