This enacted ordinance amends Philadelphia’s Public Employees Retirement Code. It bars a city employee, and any designated beneficiary, from receiving retirement or other benefits—except a refund of the employee’s contributions without interest—if the employee is convicted of, pleads guilty to, or pleads no contest to a listed offense under Pennsylvania’s Megan’s Law or an equivalent law elsewhere, when the offense is connected to the employee’s job; the change does not apply retroactively.

Amending Title 22 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Public Employees Retirement Code," by further providing conditions under which an employee or any designated beneficiary may be disqualified from receiving any retirement or other benefit or payment.
