The enacted ordinance authorizes the Commissioner of Public Property to enter into a sublease with the Philadelphia Authority for Industrial Development for about 40,000 square feet of land and building space at 300 E. Hunting Park Avenue, with more than 140 parking spaces. The building will house the Department of Human Services and the Police Department’s Special Victims Unit under a sublease lasting at least 15 years, with rent starting at $17 per square foot and annual increases.
