This enacted zoning change revises Philadelphia’s requirements for family day care. It allows family day care in a single-family or two-family residence operated by the resident owner or an authorized resident tenant, with care for up to six children—or up to 12 with a special exception—and limits care to four or fewer children in designated Area 1 and Area 2 locations.

Amending Title 14 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Zoning and Planning," by amending Section 14-603, entitled "Use-Specific Standards," by revising requirements relating to family day care, under certain terms and conditions.
