This enacted ordinance regulates Philadelphia tanning facilities that provide paid access to ultraviolet tanning equipment. It requires customers to receive and sign health warning statements, and sets additional permission, supervision, warning, and recordkeeping requirements for customers under 18, including written medical permission for anyone under 14.

Amending Title 6 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Health Code," by adding a new Chapter providing for the regulation of tanning facilities; amending Section 6-102, by adding definitions; and making technical changes, all under certain terms and conditions.
