The enacted ordinance amended Philadelphia’s Clean Indoor Air Worker Protection Law to allow the drinking establishment at 3001 Castor Avenue to apply for a waiver from the city’s indoor smoking ban. The establishment had to apply to the Health Department within 30 days of the ordinance’s effective date and qualify for and maintain an exception under Pennsylvania’s Clean Indoor Air Act.

Amending Section 10-602 of The Philadelphia Code, known as the "Clean Indoor Air Worker Protection Law," by providing a limited period of time during which certain Drinking Establishments may apply for and obtain a waiver of the provisions of the Section prohibiting smoking in certain places, under certain terms and conditions.
