This enacted ordinance authorizes Philadelphia’s Commerce Department to enter a second extension of airport use and lease agreements with airlines serving Philadelphia International Airport, covering July 1, 2013, through June 30, 2015. The agreements allow the airlines to continue using airport space while paying specified rents and charges, and include certain capital improvements and a plan for workforce training, job placement, and small-business development benefiting area residents, especially neighborhoods affected by the airport.
