The enacted ordinance prohibits anyone in Philadelphia from using a three-dimensional printer to make a firearm or any firearm part unless they have a federal license to manufacture firearms. Violations are classified as a Class III offense and may result in a fine under the Philadelphia Code.
Amending Title 10 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Regulation of Individual Conduct and Activity," by adding a new Chapter 10-2000, prohibiting the use of a three-dimensional printer in order to manufacture a firearm, under certain terms and conditions.
