This enacted ordinance, effective May 15, 2015, removed Philadelphia Code provisions that allowed private clubs and drinking establishments to obtain waivers from the city’s indoor smoking ban. It also removed related exceptions for electronic smoking devices in those establishments, while allowing waivers already in effect to continue under their existing terms and keeping exceptions for certain lodging rooms, specialty e-cigarette establishments, and tobacco product distribution businesses.

Amending Chapter 10-600 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Regulation of Individual Conduct and Activity," to modify certain exceptions from Subsection 10-602(3), entitled "Smoking Prohibited," and from Section 10-614, entitled "Electronic Smoking Devices," all under certain terms and conditions.
