This enacted ordinance amends Philadelphia’s property maintenance rules for rubbish, garbage, and recycling. Property owners must provide covered rubbish containers and separate recycling containers, with additional container requirements for buildings with 10 or more dwelling units; occupants must dispose of rubbish and recyclable materials in the approved containers, and owners are responsible for regular removal.

Amending Subcode PM of Title 4 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "The Philadelphia Property Maintenance Code," by amending Section PM-308, entitled "Rubbish and Garbage," to add requirements relating to provision of containers for, and disposal of, rubbish, garbage and recycling materials, under certain terms and conditions.
