City Council approved the ninth amendment to the redevelopment proposal and second amendment to the urban renewal plan for the Market Street East Urban Renewal Area. The approved plan covers the Gallery Mall properties and provides for their rehabilitation and possible new construction as a mixed-use retail center, while applying the Philadelphia2035 Comprehensive Plan, the reformed zoning code, and Central District Plan objectives.
