The enacted ordinance extended Philadelphia Facilities Management Corporation’s advance authority to enter contracts on behalf of Philadelphia Gas Works for purchasing, storing, distributing, transporting, and transmitting natural gas. The authority covered contracts entered through August 31, 2019, for services delivered by August 31, 2020, and included spending limits, approval requirements for certain contract changes and delayed payments, and reporting to city oversight officials.

Authorizing the extension of the program authorized by Bill No. 110109 under which advance approval is given to the Philadelphia Facilities Management Corporation to enter into certain contracts and transactions arising thereunder for the purchase, storage, distribution, transportation and/or transmission of natural and other gas supply on behalf of the Philadelphia Gas Works, subject to certain terms and conditions.
