The enacted measure amended Philadelphia’s parking tax by setting the tax on parking transactions at 22.5% beginning July 1, 2015, and continuing thereafter. The tax applies to people who park or store vehicles in city parking facilities and to people who use valet parking; parking operators collect it and pay it to the City.
