The enacted ordinance amends Philadelphia’s zoning code to create the Rittenhouse Square Residential Area, covering properties on both sides of Rittenhouse Square between 20th and 21st Streets. It prohibits group living there, except for personal care homes, and prohibits non-owner-occupied housing rented only to students or marketed primarily to students, affecting property owners and housing providers in that area.
Amending Title 14 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Zoning and Planning," by adding a new subsection, entitled "Rittenhouse Square Residential Area," and making related changes, all under certain terms and conditions.
