The enacted ordinance changes Philadelphia’s demolition rules. It requires demolition contractors to post public notices when a demolition permit application is submitted and requires the Department of Licenses and Inspections to distribute informational bulletins to specified nearby properties after the permit is issued, with exceptions for emergencies and certain other cases.

Amending Title 4 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "The Philadelphia Building Construction and Occupancy Code," by amending Subcode "A" (The Philadelphia Administrative Code), providing for the posting and public notice of the demolition of structures, and making related changes, all under certain terms and conditions.
