ORDER THE BILL PLACED ON NEXT WEEK'S SUSPENSION CALENDAR

This lapsed proposal would have amended Philadelphia’s Realty Use and Occupancy Tax by excluding certain commercial food manufacturing facilities from the tax. The exclusion would have applied for 10 years to newly built facilities or facilities unoccupied for at least one year, when operations began after July 1, 2016.

Amending Section 19-1806 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Authorization of Realty Use and Occupancy Tax," by adding an exclusion from the tax for certain new businesses, all under certain terms and conditions.
