This enacted ordinance creates an exception to Philadelphia’s prohibition on using or possessing cutting weapons on public streets or public property. The exception applies to emergency personnel of the Philadelphia Fire Department, whether they are on or off duty, when using or possessing cutting tools.
Amending Chapter 10-800 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Safety," by amending Section 10-820, entitled "Cutting Weapons in Public Places," by excluding certain emergency personnel from the prohibition on the use and possession of cutting tools.
