This enacted ordinance legalizes an existing covered external steel staircase at 2654 S. Camac Street that extends into the sidewalk along Oregon Avenue, leaving 14 feet 6 inches of passable sidewalk. The property owner must obtain required permits, enter an agreement with the City, maintain insurance and other protections, and remove the staircase at the owner’s expense if the City gives proper notice for a municipal project or otherwise requires its removal.
