The enacted ordinance changes Philadelphia’s dumpster rules by prohibiting licenses for dumpsters in the public right-of-way in certain locations. These include CA-2 auto-oriented commercial districts, locations the Streets Department finds would unduly interfere with the right-of-way, and areas within specified boundaries where a licensed dumpster was not located before September 7, 2016.
Amending Section 10-722 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Use of Dumpsters," to limit the locations where dumpsters may be licensed in the public right-of-way, all under certain terms and conditions.
