The enacted ordinance authorized Philadelphia’s Procurement Commissioner to enter into agreements for fixed-rate purchases of electricity and natural gas for City facilities and motor fuel for the City fleet for Fiscal Year 2020. The agreements had to use competitively selected suppliers, include consideration of advice from the Philadelphia Energy Authority, and be reported annually to City Council.

Authorizing the Procurement Commissioner to enter into agreements to purchase electricity, natural gas and motor fuel for use by the City in City facilities and vehicles, including agreements that obligate payment for delivery of such energy supplies in future fiscal years, all under certain terms and conditions.
