The enacted ordinance changes Philadelphia’s zoning rules for signs by revising definitions and requirements for digital, animated, illuminated, portable, window, wall, projecting, marquee, and freestanding signs. It also changes which types of signs are allowed, and under what size, location, height, and approval conditions, in different zoning districts, affecting property owners and businesses that install or use signs.
To amend Title 14 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Zoning and Planning," by revising certain provisions of Chapters 14-200, entitled "Definitions," and 14-900 "Signs," all under certain terms and conditions.
