The enacted ordinance amends Philadelphia’s rules for Keystone Opportunity Zones and related development areas to extend certain tax exemptions, abatements, or credits for eligible property and business activity at listed parcels. The benefits can continue for up to 10 years after a qualified business occupies a parcel or existing benefits expire, subject to approval and limits set by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.
Amending Chapter 19-3200 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Keystone Opportunity Zone, Economic Development District, and Strategic Development Area," to provide for extension of certain benefits, under certain terms and conditions.
