The enacted ordinance repeals Philadelphia’s rules for selling telephone-activated pagers, including restrictions on sales to minors, identification requirements, purchase logs, and related penalties. It affects businesses that sell or transfer these pagers, minors and purchasers, and the Department of Licenses and Inspections, which had enforced the rules.

Amending Chapter 9-600 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Services and Other Businesses," by repealing Section 9-621 (relating to the sale of telephone activated pagers), all under certain terms and conditions.
