The enacted ordinance amended Philadelphia’s Historic Preservation Code to create a temporary demolition moratorium for designated properties along Ridge Avenue between Wissahickon Creek and Northwestern Avenue. It allows total demolition only when needed to address an imminently dangerous condition identified by the Department of Licenses and Inspections or when approved under historic-preservation rules; the moratorium ends after 12 months or earlier if the Historical Commission certifies that notice of proposed historic designation was mailed to owners of more than 25% of the properties.

Amending Chapter 14-1000 of The Philadelphia Code, (entitled "Historic Preservation") to establish a temporary demolition moratorium with respect to properties in the area of Ridge Avenue between Wissahickon Creek and Northwestern Avenue; all under certain terms and conditions.
