This enacted measure changes how the assessed value is determined for Philadelphia’s Realty Use and Occupancy Tax. For tax years beginning July 1, 2019 and later, the value used depends on whether the use or occupancy occurs from July through December or from January through June, and applies to the users or occupiers who pay the tax.

Amending Section 19-1806 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Authorization of Realty Use and Occupancy Tax," to revise the timing of the determination of assessed value, under certain terms and conditions.
