The enacted ordinance makes technical changes to Philadelphia’s senior-citizen low-income property tax provisions. It clarifies that a surviving unmarried spouse of someone who was at least 65 may qualify if the surviving spouse is at least 50, and it replaces gender-specific terms with gender-neutral language; the ordinance took effect immediately.
