This enacted measure amends Philadelphia’s building and property maintenance code for violations involving vacant and exterior properties. When the same property requires more than one abatement for covered violations within a 12-month period, the violator is subject to an additional $100 penalty for each repeat abatement, in addition to the basic fine.

Amending Title 4 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "The Philadelphia Building Construction and Occupancy Code," by amending Sections A-503 (entitled "Prosecution") and A-601 (entitled "Fines") of The Philadelphia Administrative Code, to provide for assessment of an additional penalty in connection with repeated abatements of unlawful conditions on vacant and exterior properties; under certain terms and conditions.
