This enacted ordinance exempts owners and tenants from certain Center City sidewalk-vending and sidewalk-sale requirements when they sell only fresh fruits and vegetables on the sidewalk next to their property. The sales must take place within three feet of the building and leave an unobstructed sidewalk at least six feet wide or half the sidewalk’s total width, whichever is greater.

Amending Section 9-204 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Sidewalk Vendors in Center City," and Section 9-205, entitled "Sidewalk Sales," to exempt sales of fresh fruits and vegetables on the abutting sidewalk of a property by the owner or tenant of that property from the requirements of Sections 9-204 and 9-205, under certain terms and conditions.
