This enacted ordinance amended Philadelphia’s Public Employees Retirement Code to expand Plan 16 to certain employees represented by Lodge 5 of the Fraternal Order of Police who work for the Sheriff’s Office or Register of Wills, and to allow certain employees to elect Plan 16. It also changed contribution rates for some employees and the City and revised eligibility rules for the Deferred Retirement Option Plan (DROP), including for certain police, fire, AFSCME, and Lodge 5 employees.

Amending Title 22 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Public Employees Retirement Code," to expand "Plan 16" to include certain employees, to change contribution rates for certain employees and the City, to amend various provisions relating to the Deferred Retirement Option Plan ("DROP"), and to make technical amendments; all under certain terms and conditions.
