This enacted ordinance creates an Industrial and Manufacturing Area Overlay District for designated properties in the North Delaware Areas zoned I-1, I-2, or I-3. It is intended to preserve industrial land by prohibiting certain non-industrial uses, including medical practices, gun shops, financial services, and vehicle sales, while requiring special-exception approval for other uses such as parking, vehicle repair, and commercial vehicle sales.

Amending Section 14-523 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Overlay Zoning Districts," by adding a new subsection, entitled "/IMA, Industrial and Manufacturing Area Overlay District," and making related changes, all under certain terms and conditions.
