The enacted ordinance extended a program allowing the Philadelphia Facilities Management Corporation to enter gas supply, storage, distribution, transportation, and transmission contracts on behalf of the Philadelphia Gas Works through August 31, 2023, for services delivered no later than August 31, 2027. The authorization was subject to cost limits, approval requirements for certain contract terms, and regular reporting to the Gas Commission, the Public Advocate, and City Council; the gas costs are paid by PGW ratepayers.

Authorizing the extension of the program authorized by Bill No. 150443 under which advance approval is given to the Philadelphia Facilities Management Corporation to enter into certain contracts and transactions arising thereunder for the purchase, storage, distribution, transportation and/or transmission of natural and other gas supply on behalf of the Philadelphia Gas Works, subject to certain terms and conditions.
